M

On August 24, 2007 a tornado ripped through Livingston and Genesee County, damaging at least 250 homes and businesses.

As noted by the National Weather Service, "Fenton sustained the greatest amount of damage where the tornado path widened to approximately one-quarter mile-- including the snapping and uprooting of hundreds of trees."

Fenton's historic Oakwood Cemetery sustained serious damage to trees and gravestones, and Cemetery board member Doug Tebo brought us these recently digitized shots. They did such a great job of cleanup you would never know today all these trees were down!
