Joneshall

Adrian College issued the following announcement on march 25.

Adrian College’s Office of Graduate Studies is now offering a new, fully-online Master of Arts program in Higher Education Administration and Leadership (HAL) starting in the fall.

HAL is a program for students who are interested in pursuing leadership roles at colleges and universities, and “will prepare students for the dynamic environment of education today,” said Christine Knaggs, Dean of Graduate Studies and Institutional Effectiveness at Adrian College.

Those interested in learning more are invited to join a virtual information session on Friday, March 27 at noon or 5 p.m. at the following link, https://lnkd.in/e9x3uUp.

The program is designed to promote ethical decision-making, resulting in solutions-driven leadership that supports diversity, inclusion, and equity efforts in higher education.

“HAL has designed curriculum with two embedded, highly-marketable certificates, Institutional Effectiveness and Leadership,” Knaggs said. “The program is 30 credit hours and can be completed in one year.”

Undergraduate students at Adrian College are eligible for admission if they have earned a minimum of 90 credit hours and have a cumulative 3.0 grade point average. Undergraduates may enroll in the 3+2 program and begin graduate courses during the fall term of their senior year, or they may opt to earn their bachelor’s degree before entering the Master’s program.

Students who have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution are eligible for admission if they have a 3.0 cumulative undergraduate grade point average. Prospective students who already possess a bachelor’s degree may apply for entrance to the program. The application deadline for the fall term is July 15.
