Michigan Rep. Bronna Kahle (R-Adrian) held a virtual read-in on March 31 to end reading month.
"March is reading month," Kahle said in a video announcement. "And if you're like me, anytime is a great time to share a good book, especially with the young people in our lives."
On March 31, Kahle read stories during a live read-in on Facebook.
"Last day of March is Reading Month. It looked a little different this year! Doesn’t change the fact that #ReadersLeadTheWay. Loved having the opportunity to read to Tecumseh kindergartners through Facebook Live," Kahle said in her post.
Kahle encouraged parents to read to their children throughout the month; not only will they be able to share their favorite books with their kids, but have quality time as well.
"Personal attention is always a good thing, and reading takes us to different times, places and expands a young person's horizons," Kahle said in her public service announcement.
