Napoleon Community Schools issued the following announcement on Aug. 8.
Earlier we shared with the community a “SNAPSHOT” of our NCS Return to Learn 2020-2021 plan with a Back To School Instructional Options Questionnaire
As expected, this snapshot generated additional questions and concerns. It is our intent to release a draft of the proposed plan later this week and to present this to the NCS Board of Education on Monday, August 10th, 2020 for review and potential approval.
I’d like to thank all of you who participated in our various surveys as well as the dedicated committee members consisting of over 40 staff members including administrators, teachers, transportation, food service and other staff who worked so hard to prepare this plan using the recommendations and requirements set forth by the MI Safe Schools:
Michigan’s 2020-21 Return to School Roadmap,
MI SAFE START PLAN information,
CDC guidelines,
Jackson County Health Department recommendations and
all of the other various tools at our disposal.
The fall of the 2020 school year will be like no other our community has ever faced but I have no doubt that our community will continue to support our staff, our schools and our children as we face these challenges. We appreciate your patience while we work through these decisions. Have a safe few weeks!
