City of Southfield issued the following announcement on Sept. 4.
Beech Woods Recreation Center, park and driving range will be closed on Tuesday, September 8 through Thursday, September 10 (weather permitting) for parking lot repaving. The project requires a complete site shut down for the work to be completed.
The new parking lot will offer improved accessibility for cars and buses visiting the recreation center coupled with the new sidewalks that were completed at the site in early August help to provide safe accessibility to and from the buildings on site.
