City of Jackson issued the following announcement on Sept. 14.
The City of Jackson has prepared four City-owned homes for available open bids. The City will begin accepting bids Monday, Sept. 14, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. for the four properties. The bids and more information will be listed on the City’s online bid system. Interested parties must submit their signed and completed bid documents to via email to Shelly Allard of the City’s Purchasing Division no later than 12:00 p.m. on Sept. 21, 2020. Qualified bidders cannot be in default with the City of Jackson in any capacity. Bidders will sign their submitted bids, bidder acknowledgements, complete with offer price by the bid opening date of Sept. 21, 2020 no later than 12:00 p.m. to be accepted.
The City will bid the following addresses:
800 Hibbard Street
734 Ellery Avenue
521 Wildwood Avenue
262 Douglas Street

All properties bid will also require an escrow to be placed with American Title Company. Prior to the exchange of Deed, the properties will be sold to the highest qualified bidder, with consent from City Council and proof of escrow establishment. Within 24 hours of accepted bid, winning bidder must submit signed hard copy of their completed bid to the Purchasing Division on the 10th floor of Jackson City Hall. The list of required improvements must be met by the deadline according to the signed and notarized agreement between the Bidder/Buyer and the City of Jackson. The list of required improvements will be included with the bidding information. Citizens interested in reviewing the property may only do so externally.
