City of Fenton issued the following announcement on Nov 5.

The Department of Public Works would like residents to be aware of the following upcoming closures and reminders:

  • On Tuesday, Nov. 9, S. Adelaide St. will be closed, weather permitting, for tree removal beginning at 9 a.m. This closure is between W. Caroline St. and Shiawassee Ave. with limited access to W. Ellen St. from the north. The DPW expects to re-open those areas to traffic no later than noon.
  • On Wednesday, Nov. 10, S. Adelaide St. will be closed, weather permitting, for tree removal beginning at 9 a.m. This closure is between W. Rockwell St. and Shiawassee Ave. with very limited access to E. Elizabeth St. from the south. The DPW expects to open the area back up to traffic no later than noon.
As we head into the late fall/winter season, it's time to remember the following:

  • The City of Fenton does not remove leaves from the roadway. Putting leaves in the roadway is a violation. (Local Ord. 15-7)

  • There is no parking allowed on city streets between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. from now until March 31. (Local Ord. 32-42)

  • It is illegal to plow snow from sidewalks, driveways, or other areas into a roadway. (MCL 257-677-a)
