Cost of college went up for all students at Hillsdale College

Tuition and fees rose 3.1 percent for 2018-19 at Hillsdale College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Michigan students paid $27,578 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $836 more than the $26,742 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 98 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 355 students received grants or scholarships totaling $6.6 million and 119 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.3 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,521), 1,457 students used grants or scholarships totaling $27.2 million.
