LENAWEE COUNTY: Public Hearing Notice on Proposed 2021 Budget

Lenawee County issued the following announcement.

The Lenawee County Board of Commissioners announces a BUDGET HEARING for the 2021 General Fund Budget at 1:35 P.M. on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2020.  Keeping with federal and state guidelines regarding COVID 19, this meeting will take place as a virtual video web and tele conference.  Join Zoom Meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85074658310?pwd=dldONUQvd0VyQmg1MlQrMmpGSmJ6Zz09  Dial  (877) 853-5247; Meeting ID #: 850 7465 8310.  Passcode: 975132.  The meeting will be recorded. 

The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.

PROPOSED MILLAGE RATES FOR 2021 BUDGET:  County Operating: 5.4000, Lenawee Medical Care Facility Special: .1896, Department on Aging Special:  .7500, Veterans Relief:  .0000

All interested citizens will have the opportunity to give written and oral comments.  Written comments may be submitted in advance of the hearing to the County Administrator's Office, 301 N. Main Street, Adrian, Michigan  49221.  Copies of the recommended budget may be obtained from this office and are available online at lenawee.mi.us.   

Lenawee County will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities at the meeting/hearing upon seven (7) days notice to Lenawee County.  Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services should contact the Lenawee County Administrator's Office by writing or calling:  Administrator’s Office, 301 North Main Street, Adrian, MI  49221, (517) 264-4508.
