Rep. Schmaltz Invites Local Pastor to Give Invocation at State Capitol

State Rep. Kathy Schmaltz extended an invitation to Pastor James Hines of Lily Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson to deliver the invocation at the Michigan House of Representatives session held at the state Capitol. The invitation was part of the rotating duties among legislators, allowing them to either offer a prayer themselves or invite a guest speaker.

Reflecting on the event, Rep. Schmaltz expressed her appreciation, stating, "It was an honor to welcome Pastor Hines to Lansing and hear his words to inspire legislators from across our state to come together and do good work on behalf of the people we represent."
