Rep. Fink expressed his concerns following the presentation of the Fiscal Year 2025 budget by the Whitmer administration. He criticized the governor's approach, suggesting it prioritizes political ambitions over the needs of Michigan residents.

"This budget presentation is just further confirmation that our governor is out of touch with what the people of her state need, and that her true concerns are with her own future politically," Rep. Fink stated. He argued that the proposed programs are irresponsible and unsustainable, adding, "She’s mortgaging Michigan’s future to roll out irresponsible programs that we simply can’t sustain."

Rep. Fink highlighted the economic struggles faced by his constituents due to inflation, noting their efforts to economize on essential expenses like groceries and fuel. In contrast, he accused Governor Whitmer of engaging in a "frivolous and unsustainable spending spree."
