State Representative Andrew Fink, a Republican from Adams Township, has called on the federal government to enforce U.S. immigration laws more stringently. In a statement, Rep. Fink emphasized the significance of border security for ensuring national safety and order.

"As a legislator in a border state, I understand the importance of patrolling our border and closely monitoring what is allowed to cross it," said Rep. Fink. He highlighted the need to prevent illegal activities such as human trafficking and drug smuggling, describing these issues as matters of national security and fairness to legal immigrants.

Rep. Fink expressed his support for Texas Governor Greg Abbott's efforts to protect his state from what he described as invasions. "I stand in firm support of Gov. Abbott’s commitment," he stated, urging national leaders to uphold the rule of law.

In 2022, Rep. Fink introduced legislation aimed at banning sanctuary cities in Michigan and backed a House resolution calling on President Biden to enhance enforcement of immigration laws and bolster border protection.
