Tecumseh High School issued the following announcement on Aug. 22.
Tecumseh High School graduates are invited to reminisce about their days as a ceramics student, network with current art students and contribute their talents to a local fundraiser at an Alumni Bowl Throw. The event will be held from 5 - 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 19 at Tecumseh High School.
“This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while,” said Jacqueolynn Whiteley, THS Art facilitator. “Alumni can throw bowls on the wheel, reconnect with their friends and visit with former art teacher, Mr. Frenzen.”
Projects created at the event will be used to support the 2019 Empty Bowls project.
“THS participates in the Empty Bowls fundraiser every other year,” Whiteley said. “Students and teachers make and ceramic bowls that are sold at an event to raise money for a local charitable organization. It’s a great way for our learners to share their talents and give back to our community.”
Interested alumni should RSVP to Jacqueolynn Whiteley by Friday, Nov. 16 by emailing jwhiteley@tps.k12.mi.us or calling 517-423-6008 ext. 7211.
