ADDISON COMMUNITY SCHOOLS: Addison Community Schools Guidelines

Addison Community Schools issued the following announcement on July 13.

Dear Addison Families:

Addison Community Schools will operate under the following guidelines for the 2021-2022 school year bearing no law change. 

• Addison Community Schools will offer face to face instruction five days per week for all PreK-12 grade students. 

• Addison will offer an online learning platform for students. Any parent interested please contact Mrs. Huston for the elementary at angela.l.huston@addisonschools.us or Mrs. Haag for the secondary lisa.haag@adisonschools.us 

• Addison students and staff will not be required to wear masks. Students and Staff do have the option to wear them if they prefer. 

• There is no requirement to get a COVID-19 vaccination to enroll in Addison Community Schools. 

• There is no requirement to social distance. 

• All students will be eating lunch in the cafeteria. 

• The elementary students will have recess on the playground.

• Addison Community Schools will continue with high levels of disinfect practices, which will include commonly touched surface.

• Hand sanitizers will be available for all students and staff. 

• Students will be encouraged to wash and sanitize their hands frequently. 

• Addison will be required to report all communicable disease to the Lenawee County Health Department.  

• All quarantine restrictions will come from the Lenawee County Health Department. 

• Addison Community Schools will have no COVID-19 athletic restrictions to participate and will follow the MHSAA rules.
