City of Adrian is accepting applications for the position of Community Revitalization Coordinator

The City of Adrian, MI (population: 20,645) is accepting applications for the position of Community Revitalization Coordinator. Adrian (adriancity.com) is a city of arts, parks, and culture and is the home of three colleges – Adrian College, Siena Heights University, and Jackson College. Adrian is proud of its historic downtown featuring shops, restaurants, and events. It is the Lenawee County seat and is located in close proximity to three major metropolitan areas – Toledo, Ann Arbor, and Detroit. 

Under the direction of the Community Development Director, the Coordinator provides administrative support and community outreach relating to property maintenance, rental dwellings, and enforcement of various City ordinances.  Responsibilities include tracking projects, data collection, report generation, and preparation of violation letters, citations, and other notices.  Excellent organizational and time management skills, strong verbal and written communications, and the ability to develop and manage relationships with community non-profits and other organizations is required.  Experience with BS&A software, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is necessary.  

A Bachelor’s Degree in business, public administration or related field is preferred.  Three or more years’ related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.  Candidate must have the ability to interact in a courteous and professional manner with others, and availability to attend meetings outside normal business hours. Salary range $41,716 - $52,331 depending on qualifications.
