Camden-Frontier School issued the following announcement on Dec 2.
Mrs. Zeiler’s AP classes ventured to Hillsdale College to perform a college level Molecular Biology laboratory experiment. The students isolated a small piece of DNA called a plasmid that had been transformed by a gene from a fish to glow green. The students then learned how difficult it is to master micro-pipetting as they added restriction enzymes to the DNA to cut into smaller pieces for analysis.
The students had a blast and enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Hillsdale College. A huge thank you to Dr. Steiner for hosting our students.
