Do you know which City Council voting ward you live in?
On Nov. 8, Hillsdale voters will elect the Mayor and City Council members they want to represent them for the next four years.
The first step to understanding how to vote is knowing which voting ward you live in. The City of Hillsdale created a Ward Map, which you can access here to determine your voting ward: https://bit.ly/HillsdaleWardMap
Once you know which voting ward you live in, you can visit Michigan.gov/vote and input your location and voting jurisdiction to view a sample ballot for the upcoming election. Your sample ballot will contain every candidate, office and proposal that you will be able to vote on. It’s a great tool to help inform your vote.
Hillsdale voters cast their ballots in-person at the Hillsdale Community Library, which serves as the polling location for voters from all four of the City’s voting wards.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. To request an absentee ballot, visit the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall, 97 N. Broad Street, or apply online at Michigan.gov/vote.
