Howell/Lynwood/Morry Project Update:
As of this afternoon the paving contractor is planning to be on-site starting tomorrow morning (10/19/22) to start paving operations. It is anticipated that paving will be completed prior to November 4, hopefully sooner, weather depending.
In cooperation with Hillsdale Hospital the entrances at the hospital onto Howell Street have been closed. The Hospital can be accessed using the entrance from Manning Street. There are hospital detour signs in place directing the traffic to the Manning Street entrance from Hallett Street.
We will be completely closing Howell Street during the paving operations. Please note all access to the hospital from areas south of the city should follow the posted detour.
If you are a resident within the project area on Lynwood, Morry or Howell you will be able to access your driveway, but this may be delayed at times during paving. Please make contact with the construction personnel and they will help you negotiate the road closure.
We will coordinate to make sure trash is picked on the normal schedule, please do not place trash bins in the street. We will also make efforts to accommodate normal mail deliveries.
Thank you to everyone for your patience during this project and know that city staff and the contractors are well aware of the frustrations that construction projects generate, and we are working as diligently as we can to get this project completed.
