The City of Morenci will begin curbside leaf collection starting the week of November 1, and will continue through December 15 at 6:00 p.m. Prior to and after that timeframe, leaves may be discarded at the compost pile behind the Morenci Department of Public Works Facility.
Please follow these guidelines for leaf collection:
• Bagging of leaves is strongly discouraged.
• Leaves should be placed next to the street curb, not in the street boulevard.
• Leaves should be placed as close to the street curb as possible without interfering with traffic patterns.
• Leaves should be free of big chucks of wood and foreign objects. If such are found in leaf piles, leaf piles will be left with the homeowner responsible for disposing of such piles.
