As we communicated in July, there was an error found in the Summer 2022 tax bills that were mailed out to residents. Bills were missing the ALS assessment line item, causing them to be the incorrect amount. Corrected Summer 2022 tax bills were mailed out shortly thereafter, and the updated version had "REVISED" printed on the top.
Understandably, some residents and mortgage companies paid the initial bill, which has left a balance that is now accruing penalty and interest after the August 10 due date. Due to the system error, City Council voted at their 10/24 meeting to forgive the penalty fee, interest, and extend the due date to November 30 for those who have paid the initial amount.
