Broadband internet is essential to those who work, reside, and attend school in Kent County. In some areas of our county, high-speed Internet is not available, is unreliable or slow. In order to support broadband expansion efforts, we need to learn more about internet availability and speeds throughout the county.

Kent County created a survey, in partnership with Merit Network, to gather this information throughout the county. We need your help! We need 1,000 more survey responses to be statistically valid and responses from the cities of Kentwood and Grand Rapids are lower than other parts of the county.

You have unique connections and networks within our community so your support is critical to successfully completing this effort. Please share the survey link MichiganMoonshot.org/Kent with your friends, family, networks, neighbors and coworkers.

The survey results will help the county compare, and potentially challenge, the data on the proposed federal broadband maps. The final broadband map will serve as a baseline for grant programs and inform other funding decisions to help expand access to affordable high-speed internet throughout the country.
