Residents in Jackson’s First Ward have an upcoming opportunity to meet with their City Council representative and learn the latest news from their neighborhood. City Councilmember Arlene Robinson is holding a neighborhood meeting for the City’s First Ward on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 6:00 p.m. at the MLK Recreation Center. 

Councilmember Robinson organized the meeting to discuss establishing neighborhood watch groups within the First Ward and how residents can get involved. The meeting will also feature guest speakers John Willis from the City of Jackson and Dr. Tyler Quentin of the Michigan State University Extension. Both will update residents on their respective Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts. 

Ward 1 includes neighborhoods on the south side of Jackson. All residents are welcome to attend. The MLK Center is located at 1107 Adrian St.
