Rep. Tim Walberg, currently representing Michigan’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, communicated a series of updates and reflections through recent posts on social media, emphasizing unity through faith, community service, and the importance of American manufacturing. Walberg, who has served in Congress since 2011 following his tenure in the Michigan House of Representatives, also has a personal connection to the region, residing in Tipton, having been born in Chicago in 1951, and holding a BA from Taylor University.

On May 1, 2025, Rep. Walberg attended a significant event at the White House, highlighting his participation in a service that aims to unite individuals through faith. He expressed his sentiments by stating, "I was honored to attend the White House’s National Day of Prayer service with @POTUS which allowed true faith to unite us through prayer leading to reconciliation with God and each other."

Walberg paid tribute to a notable figure from his community in a post on May 2, 2025. He spoke on the House floor in remembrance of Richard Germond, the former Lenawee County Sheriff. Sharing his respect and sorrow for Germond's passing, Walberg noted, "I took to the House floor to honor the life and legacy of longtime Lenawee County Sheriff Richard Germond who sadly passed away yesterday. Sheriff Germond was an impactful member of our community and will be sorely missed."

The congressman also addressed economic matters in his May 3, 2025, post, following a visit to Arcosa Shoring Products in Union City. Focusing on the future of manufacturing in America, Walberg stressed the need for expansion in this area to strengthen the economy and provide employment opportunities. He articulated, "I recently was able to visit Arcosa Shoring Products in Union City and discuss with them the future of American manufacturing. We must expand our manufacturing base to grow our economy and create more good paying jobs."
