Rep. Tim Walberg praises charter schools and law enforcement

Rep. Tim Walberg, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 5th district since 2011, recently shared his thoughts on various issues through social media posts. His tweets highlighted educational initiatives and praised law enforcement efforts.

On May 13, 2025, Rep. Walberg acknowledged the contributions of charter schools during National Charter School Week. He stated, "During this #NationalCharterSchoolWeek, we recognize all the charter schools across the country that are providing high-quality education for our students!"

In a tweet dated May 15, 2025, he expressed gratitude towards law enforcement agencies for averting a potential threat at a military base in Warren. Walberg wrote, "Thank you to the @FBI and law enforcement officers for preventing what would’ve been a deadly attack at the military base in Warren. We are extremely grateful for your swift actions."

Later that day, Rep. Walberg met with local law enforcement personnel from Hillsdale County to commend their service. He tweeted about this meeting: "It was an honor to meet with Hillsdale County Sheriff Deputies Fellabaum and Cramer and Detective Sergeant Ludeker to thank them for their heroic efforts and the work they do each day to protect our communities. I also was able to present them with a copy of the Congressional."

Tim Walberg has had a long career in public service beginning in the Michigan House of Representatives before moving on to represent Michigan's 5th District in Congress since 2011.
