Rep. Nancy Jenkins-Arno hosted Michigan State Police Detective Sergeant Larry Rothman from Tecumseh at the Michigan State Capitol during the annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony organized by the Michigan House of Representatives. The ceremony is held each year to honor and remember those affected by the events of September 11, 2001.

The event gathers legislators along with their invited guests, including local first responders and military personnel. Its purpose is not only to commemorate the lives lost in the terrorist attacks but also to recognize Michigan’s first responders, public safety professionals, and service members for their dedication.

According to Rep. Jenkins-Arno, “The annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony gives us an opportunity to honor those who serve our communities every day and remember those we have lost.” She added, “I was proud to welcome Detective Sergeant Rothman as my guest this year in recognition of his commitment to public safety.”

The ceremony also serves as a remembrance for individuals who have died in the line of duty over the past year.
