Senator Mark Huizenga, a Republican representing Walker, has commented on the recent approval of Michigan's fiscal year 2026 state budget. After voting in favor of the final version, Huizenga released a statement highlighting key aspects of the budget.

“This budget is about putting West Michigan families first — cutting taxes, easing the cost of living, and investing in schools so every child has a chance to succeed. It’s not perfect, but it proves that when we work together, we can deliver results. I’ll keep working across the aisle to solve problems and strengthen our communities,” Huizenga said.

The senator's audio comments regarding the new state budget can be accessed at YouTube.com/watch?v=2xD3gS6hw_Q.

Huizenga encouraged residents to subscribe to his email list for updates on state government activities.
