City of Hillsdale issued the following announcement on Oct.2.
The City of Hillsdale Department of Public Services will provide a onetime curbside residential collection of brush only. This service is offered to its residents only in the month of October. Please have your brush to the curb on Sunday, October 20, 2019 to ensure it is collected.

Leaves
LEAVES will be picked up by Modern Waste on Saturday, October 26th. All leaves only, need to be placed at the curb in biodegradable paper bags. Bags can placed at the curb no earlier than October 19th.
LEAVES will be picked up by Modern Waste on Saturday, December 14th. All leaves only, need to be placed at the curb in biodegradable paper bags. Bags can placed at the curb no earlier than December 7th.
The transfer station will accept bagged leaves in the brown (biodegradable) bags all year for $3.00 a bag.

Paper Biodegradable/Compost bags will be available for local purchase at Gelzer’s Hardware, Family Farm and Home, Market House, and Kroger.
