Rep. Tim Walberg highlights House GOP efforts on energy policy and national security

Rep. Tim Walberg, a U.S. Congressman representing Michigan’s 5th district since 2011, posted on his social media account about recent legislative actions by House Republicans concerning energy policy and national security.

On September 4, 2025, Walberg wrote, "Today, @HouseGOP passed three bills to reverse to burdensome rules of the Biden administration that limited energy production and raised costs on hardworking Americans. House Republicans will continue to restore American energy dominance and provide relief for families across".

Later that day, he shared another update: "@HouseGOP just passed critical funding to safeguard our national security, unleash American energy dominance, and bolster our economic competitiveness."

In a third post the same day, Walberg credited former President Donald Trump for progress in the energy sector: "Thanks to President @realDonaldTrump, we are unleashing American energy production!"

Tim Walberg has represented Michigan's 5th District in Congress since replacing Mark Schauer in 2011. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 1983 to 1999. Born in Chicago in 1951 and currently residing in Tipton, Walberg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Taylor University.
