CITY OF ADRIAN: Fall Yard Waste Collection

City of Adrian issued the following announcement on Oct. 14.

Fall yard waste collection will begin November 1st, 2019 and end on November 29, 2019. The City will collect yard waste and bundled branches/brush each week throughout the city limits during this time period. Yard waste and bundled branches/brush must be placed at the curb no later than 7:00 AM on November 29, 2019. All yard waste shall be placed in biodegradable and/ or compostable paper bags and must not weigh more than fifty (50) pounds. Unapproved containers, including plastic bags, will not be picked up for collection.

Bundled branches and brush must meet the following guidelines:

•Tied in bundles no longer than three (3) feet.

•Bundles are placed parallel with the curb.

•Bundles weigh less than fifty (50) pounds.

The compost site will remain open on Tuesdays from 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM until December 7th, 2019. The compost site will be closed on November 30, 2019 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. The compost site is located off of Oakwood Ave. just past the cemetery.

All yard waste deposited at the compost site in anything other than biodegradable and/ or compostable paper bags must be removed from the bag or container.
