City of Jackson issued the following announcement on Nov. 27.
The City of Jackson is warning residents to be aware of an active home warranty scam. We’ve recently learned of residents receiving notices in the mail advising them that their property’s home warranty secured by the City of Jackson may be expiring or may have already expired.
The City is advising residents that Jackson City Government has never offered home warranties and has no affiliation with this company. A copy of the bogus notice was obtained from a resident. A digital copy is available online. Seeing as this is proven to be a scam, residents should not respond to this mailing.
