City of Jackson issued the following announcement on Jan. 7.
Alexa Markham is now on the job as the Parks and Recreation Department's new Senior Citizen Activity Coordinator and Nixon Pool Supervisor.
She comes to the City of Jackson from the Jackson YMCA where she was Aquatic Director.
Alexa says she's looking forward to getting to know all of the senior residents and going on trips with them, along with the upcoming summer season at the Nixon Pool.
She replaces Kathy Voss, who worked in this position for 30 years.
