City of Jackson issued the following announcement on Feb. 10.
Residents in Jackson’s Second Ward have an upcoming opportunity to meet with their City Council representative and learn the latest news from City government. Councilmember Freddie Dancy is holding two neighborhood meetings for the Second Ward on Thursday, Feb. 13 at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Councilmember Dancy says the focus of the meeting is for residents to learn about issues relating to tax foreclosure and how residents can get help if they’re facing tax foreclosure. Representatives from the Community Action Agency, Jackson County Treasurer’s Office, and City of Jackson Assessor’s Office will be at the meetings to present information and answer questions.
The meetings are taking place at the Jackson Salvation Army, which is located at 806 E. Pearl Street in Jackson. All Jackson residents are welcome to attend.
