City of Adrian issued the following announcement on Feb. 25.
The Adrian, MI Fire Department is seeking candidates for the position of Non-SAFER Grant Funded full-time Firefighter / Paramedic. Starting salary $42,524 including fringe benefit package. After the completion of probation (usually 1 year), the salary increases to $54,523. Requirements: 18 years of age or older; US Citizen; HSD/GED; Michigan FF I & II preferred but not required; Michigan licensed Paramedic prior to completion of the probationary period; Hazmat Operations; Valid MI driver’s license or equivalent; ability to successfully complete physical exam, drug screen, and background check.
To be considered for the oral board candidate must complete an application for employment and provide copies of fire/EMS licensing.
Candidates must successfully complete the Conference of Western Wayne Firefighter Written Test and a CPAT physical agility test approved by the Fire Chief within 180 days of the hire date or provide a non-expired certificate on the date of hire.
Applications must be submitted to the Human Resources Director, Adrian City Hall, 135 E. Maumee Street, Adrian, MI 49221.
