City of Adrian issued the following announcement on May 21.
Mayor Sword-Heath and the Adrian City Commission are pleased to announce that they have authorized the City to apply for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation “Match on Main” COVID Recovery Program. The program brings grant dollars to businesses in traditional downtowns who have been impacted by the COVID pandemic.
Should the City be selected to receive these grant funds, eligible businesses may receive grants between $2,000 and $10,000. Eligible Adrian businesses must: be located within the Downtown Development Authority District; sell products and/or services face to face AND have a physical location downtown; be operating as a for-profit business; have 25 employees or less; be headquartered in Michigan; and demonstrate they have been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.
Businesses can find the worksheet and program details at the link below. Worksheets must be submitted NO LATER than Wednesday, May 27, 2020. The minimum number of businesses needed to apply for the grant is 5. The maximum number of businesses is 25. Submissions will be taken on a first come, first served basis.
