City of Eaton Rapids issued the following announcement on Aug 6.
Please be advised that Parking Lot 6 (south of E. Knight Street) will be closed for the day on Thursday, August 12th.
The pedestrian bridge replacement to be installed on the east side of G.A.R. Island will be delivered and set on that date.
In order to ensure clearance for the crane to pick up the bridge and set it, the parking lot will need to be clear of any vehicles.
Please make alternative arrangements if you park in this lot.
