North Adams-Jerome Public Schools Education: 376 students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 376 students enrolled in North Adams-Jerome Public Schools in the 2022-23 school year, 3.8% less than the previous year, according to the Michigan Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.1% of them were boys, and 48.9% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 93.1% of the North Adams-Jerome Public Schools total enrollment.

North Adams-Jerome Public Schools covers two schools within Hillsdale County with its main office in North Adams. Among them, North Adams-Jerome Middle-High School recorded the highest enrollment of 200 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Overall student enrollment in Michigan remains below pre-pandemic levels, white students experiencing the largest decline at 6.5%.

Academic performance has also suffered, with the state's average NAEP score dropping by 6.5 points and ethnic achievement gaps widening. Black and Hispanic students' average math proficiency dropped by 7% in 2022, to 13.5% and 28.2%, respectively.
