On February 6, 2025, Rep. Walberg tweeted about the House GOP's support for former President Donald Trump's initiatives to combat the fentanyl crisis. He stated that "This week, @HouseGOP complemented @realDonaldTrump’s efforts to address the ongoing fentanyl crisis by passing the HALT Fentanyl Act." He emphasized that this legislation is designed to empower law enforcement in addressing illicit fentanyl trafficking.

The following day, February 7, 2025, Rep. Walberg shared his participation in a radio program where he discussed his involvement with the HALT Fentanyl Act. He expressed satisfaction in co-sponsoring this legislation aimed at protecting communities from fentanyl-related issues: "I enjoyed joining WJR this morning to discuss the passage of legislation I cosponsored, the HALT Fentanyl Act."

Later on February 7, Rep. Walberg criticized the current administration's energy policies through another tweet.
