Rep. Tim Walberg, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 5th district, has expressed his views on several national issues through a series of tweets. Walberg, who replaced Mark Schauer in 2011 and previously served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 1983 to 1999, addressed concerns regarding fiscal policy, economic growth, and international leadership.
On March 5, 2025, Rep. Walberg highlighted the issue of government spending by stating that "For far too long, our nation has dealt with reckless spending that has driven our nation into a fiscal crisis." He emphasized the need for collaboration with former President Donald Trump to address wasteful expenditures and ensure transparency for taxpayers.
In another tweet on the same day, Walberg praised former President Trump's economic policies: "President Trump has secured more than $1.7 trillion in investments which is a testament to his commitment to growing our economy." He advocated for continued efforts to stimulate American innovation and job creation.
Later that day, Rep. Walberg commented on international affairs under previous administrations: "The last four years under the Biden-Harris administration have shown us what happens when America isn’t leading." He asserted that Republicans are working towards restoring global peace through strength.
