Tim Walberg advocates for school choice expansion and government accountability

Rep. Tim Walberg, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 5th District since 2011, has been vocal on various issues through his social media platform. His recent posts reflect his positions on education, government spending, and fiscal transparency.

On March 11, 2025, Rep. Walberg expressed his advocacy for expanding school choice to ensure equitable access to quality education for all children irrespective of their income or location. He stated: "We must expand school choice so that every child - regardless of income and zip code - can receive the quality education that best suits his or her needs. Our children are counting on us."

Later the same day, Rep. Walberg highlighted a legislative move by the House GOP to maintain government operations while supporting former President Trump's policies. In his words: "Today, @HouseGOP voted to keep our government open and advance President Trump’s America First policies. The following day, March 12, 2025, he addressed taxpayer rights concerning federal expenditure transparency. Rep. Walberg remarked: "Taxpayers deserve to know where their tax dollars are being spent. Last year, my Taxpayer Right-To-Know Act was implemented through the launch of the Federal Program Inventory available at https://t.co/dWgzjVUraQ." He emphasized his ongoing dedication to eliminating governmental inefficiencies.
