Congressman Tim Walberg, representing Michigan's 5th Congressional District, announced his support for the recently passed One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Following the vote, Walberg stated, "Today, House Republicans passed historic legislation which delivers on President Trump's mandate to restore fiscal responsibility to Washington."

Walberg emphasized that the bill aims to prevent what he described as "the largest tax increase in American history," protecting taxpayers in his district from a 27% tax hike. He highlighted the bill's provisions for community investments and policies such as no tax on tips or overtime pay to aid American workers.

The congressman urged the Senate to pass the bill, stating it would help fulfill "President Trump and the American people's full agenda." Walberg's district includes Branch, Cass, Hillsdale, Jackson, Lenawee, Monroe, St. Joseph counties and parts of Berrien, Calhoun, and Kalamazoo.
