On July 7, 2025, Senator Victory highlighted ongoing construction efforts on freeways while pointing out that local roads are still being neglected. He introduced Senate Bill 448 to address this issue, stating "Construction is well under way on our freeways, but our local roads, that need the most work, are still being neglected." The bill aims to incentivize communities to invest more in their road infrastructure.

In a subsequent post on the same day, Senator Victory shared statistics from a recent report indicating that only 21% of Michigan's local roads are in good condition. He reiterated his commitment to improving these roads without increasing taxes by introducing SB 448. According to him, "My bill would partner with communities to match what they are already investing."

On July 8, 2025, Senator Victory visited Allegan County where he met with Mike from West Michigan Railroad Company. He praised their partnership with local businesses and the trucking industry as beneficial for the local economy. Expressing his enthusiasm about this collaboration, he stated "This is the only rail line owned right here in West Michigan."
