On July 12, 2025, Walberg addressed efforts to combat human trafficking through bipartisan legislation focused on Department of Labor employee training: "Human trafficking is a scourge on our society. This bipartisan legislation will ensure that Department of Labor employees receive the proper training to effectively recognize instances of human trafficking and respond to these acts of modern-day slavery."
