Tim Walberg highlights border security and farm policy initiatives in recent posts

U.S. Representative Tim Walberg, who serves Michigan’s 5th district, recently used his social media platform to highlight border security, public safety, and support for local agriculture. The series of posts appeared on July 16 and 17, 2025.

On July 16, Walberg credited former President Donald Trump for improvements in border security, stating, "Thanks to the leadership of President @realDonaldTrump, we now have the most secure border in U.S. history."

Later that day, he addressed efforts to combat dangerous substances in communities. In his words: "We’ll continue to work to protect our communities from these dangerous substances that have taken too many lives."

On July 17, Walberg shared details about a meeting with the Michigan Corn Growers Association and referenced new legislation aimed at supporting farmers. He wrote: "It was great meeting with the Michigan Corn Growers Association to discuss how the One Big, Beautiful Bill delivers for farmers and secures the legacy of family farming. This historic legislation provides farmers with the stability and security they need to continue to feed our"

Tim Walberg has represented Michigan’s 5th district in Congress since 2011 after succeeding Mark Schauer. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 1983 to 1999. Born in Chicago in 1951 and currently residing in Tipton, Walberg holds a BA from Taylor University.
