Rep. Tim Walberg, U.S. Congressman representing Michigan’s 5th district since 2011, recently used his social media platform to highlight the potential impact of the “One Big, Beautiful Bill” on local businesses and workers in his district.

On July 18, 2025, Walberg posted about a visit to Bish’s RVs in Coldwater, stating: "I enjoyed visiting Bish’s RVs in Coldwater to share how the tax provisions in the One Big, Beautiful Bill will allow businesses like them thrive and allow for them to reinvest in their employees and operations."

The following day, July 19, he shared his experience at Sears Farms in Horton: "I had the opportunity to visit Sears Farms, a fourth-generation family farm in Horton. The One Big, Beautiful Bill will prevent the death tax from hitting 2 million family-owned farms, like Sears, ensuring that family farms can continue to be passed on to future generations."

On July 20, Walberg focused on workers’ earnings during a stop at Grand River Brewery: "You earned your tip, and you should be able to keep your tip. I enjoyed stopping by Grand River Brewery to discuss how the One Big, Beautiful Bill’s no tax on tips provision will help workers keep more of their hard-earned money."

Tim Walberg has represented Michigan's 5th District since replacing Mark Schauer in Congress in 2011. Before serving at the federal level, he was a member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 1983 to 1999. Born in Chicago in 1951 and currently residing in Tipton, Walberg holds a BA from Taylor University.
