Today, Education and Workforce Committee Chairman Tim Walberg (R-MI) released a statement regarding the House-approved rescissions package. The package aims to recover over $9 billion in taxpayer funds and is now awaiting President Trump's approval.

"This clawback is another important step in correcting DC’s spending problem," Walberg stated. He emphasized the expectation for lawmakers to be responsible stewards of taxpayers' money, criticizing excessive spending on left-wing policies that he claims have been costly for families. "Once again, congressional Republicans are doing our part to enact President Trump’s pro-growth policies and keep Americans’ dollars in their own pockets."
