Today, the House-passed rescissions package, which aims to recoup more than $9 billion in taxpayer funds, is on its way to President Trump's desk. Education and Workforce Committee Chairman Tim Walberg (R-MI) released a statement regarding this development.

“This clawback is another important step in correcting DC’s spending problem," Walberg stated. He emphasized the expectation that lawmakers act as good stewards of taxpayers' money. Walberg criticized what he described as "out-of-control spending on left-wing policies" that has burdened families financially.

He also highlighted the efforts of congressional Republicans in supporting President Trump’s pro-growth policies, which aim to keep Americans’ dollars within their own pockets.
