Rep. Tim Walberg, who represents Michigan’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on social media regarding his appreciation for interns, regulatory policy discussions, and a visit to a local aviation business.
On July 31, 2025, Walberg posted: "On this National Intern Day, I’d like to thank our interns for all the work they do to serve the constituents of Michigan’s 5th District. I’m grateful for their hard work and dedication."
The following day, August 1, 2025, he wrote about participating in a radio interview: "It was great to join @Kevincdietz on @WJRradio to discuss the Trump administration’s efforts to rein in regulatory overreach like EV mandates that increase costs and limit consumer choice. We must promote private-sector innovation rather than picking winners and losers and"
On August 2, 2025, Walberg highlighted a recent business visit: "I recently had the opportunity to visit Aerospace Services And Products in Hudson, which specializes in aviation maintenance. Thanks for letting me stop by!"
Tim Walberg has represented Michigan's 5th District since replacing Mark Schauer in Congress in 2011. Before his tenure in Congress began that year, he served from 1983 to 1999 in the Michigan House of Representatives. Born in Chicago in 1951 and currently residing in Tipton at age 72, Walberg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Taylor University.
