Rep. Tim Walberg, who represents Michigan’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative developments and their impact on seniors, energy policy, and small businesses.

On August 14, 2025, Walberg marked a significant milestone for Social Security with the post: "Today marks the 90th anniversary of Social Security. Thanks to the One Big, Beautiful Bill, 88% of seniors will no longer have to pay taxes on their Social Security. Our nation’s seniors have worked a lifetime and deserve financial relief."

The following day, August 15, he addressed national energy policy: "The One Big, Beautiful Bill reverses the anti-energy policies of the Biden-Harris administration to unlock our full energy potential and bring down costs for American families.
