Rep. Tim Walberg, a U.S. Congressman representing Michigan’s 5th district since 2011, recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative actions and their intended impact on working Americans and small businesses.
On August 18, 2025, Walberg stated, "Over the last few months, @HouseGOP has passed common sense legislation to deliver on the mandate given by the American people. Check out some of our historic wins that will deliver for working Americans https://t.co/W6i8M2NmSa".
The following day, he addressed the specifics of new tax relief measures: "The One Big, Beautiful Bill delivers historic tax relief for Main Street by making the 20% small business tax deduction permanent. Over 33,000 small businesses, like Adrian Dry Cleaners, will benefit from this legislation, making it easier for them to invest and grow. https://t.co/8AxNnk8jL3". This message focused on the permanence of a tax deduction designed to aid small businesses in investment and expansion.
On August 20, 2025, Walberg highlighted agricultural interests: "The One Big, Beautiful Bill is fertilizer for Michigan farmers. Read more about how this historic legislation will produce real results for Michigan’s agricultural industry in my recent op-ed here https://t.co/rep0IRqNcC".
Walberg's posts come as part of ongoing efforts by House Republicans to promote recent legislative initiatives aimed at supporting workers and local enterprises. He has represented Michigan’s 5th District in Congress since succeeding Mark Schauer in 2011 and previously served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 1983 to 1999. Born in Chicago in 1951 and currently residing in Tipton, Walberg holds a BA from Taylor University.
