U.S. Congressman Tim Walberg, who represents Michigan’s 5th district, recently posted a series of statements on his official social media account addressing both national and local issues.

On August 20, 2025, Walberg criticized an event in Detroit, stating: "Outrageous that murderous terrorists were invited to address this anti-Israel conference in Detroit."

The following day, on August 21, 2025, Walberg shared his participation in a discussion about new legislation with Kelly from the Small Business Administration at Buell Motorcycles. He wrote: "It was great joining @SBA_Kelly at Buell Motorcycles to discuss how the One Big, Beautiful Bill will fuel the growth of American industry. As a lifelong rider, I enjoyed hearing more about how this historic legislation will allow them to build even more bikes here in America."

Later that same day, Walberg highlighted a visit to Banas Lumbar and Hardware in Monroe Community. He stated: "I enjoyed visiting Banas Lumbar and Hardware which has served customers in the Monroe Community since 1948. The One Big, Beautiful Bill empowers businesses like theirs by offering permanent tax relief."

Tim Walberg has represented Michigan’s 5th District in Congress since 2011 after succeeding Mark Schauer. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 1983 to 1999. Born in Chicago in 1951 and currently residing in Tipton, Walberg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Taylor University.
